Single
mode optical fibre are used in long distance, high bitrate
transmission links because of higher bandwidth and lower attenuation
when compared with multimode fibres.
TFO
delivers its standard single mode fibre in two versions:
This
fibre complies with or exceeds the requirements as specified
in ITU-T recommendation G.652 subcategory A.
-
The WideBand fibre has virtually no increased
attenuation at the "water peak" (1383 nm), enabling CWDM systems
utilising the full transmission band from 1285 to 1625 nm.
Special care to control sensitivity to hydrogen ensures stable
optical properties during decades of operation.
This
fibre complies with or exceeds the requirements as specified
in ITU-T recommendation G.652 subcategory C.
-
The Premium WideBand fibre has virtually
no water peak at 1383 nm. In combination with and its low
attenuation and excellent bending properties up to 1625 nm,
this fibre is exceptionally suitable for high performance
CWDM systems operating in the full band from 1285 to 1625
nm.
This fibre complies with or exceeds the requirements as specified
in ITU-T Recommendation G.652 subcategory C.
